aul Hawkins passed away peacefully October 23, 2022 at his home. He is survived by his wife Pamela of 47 years, daughter Kelly Hawkins of Greenville, NC, and grand doggies Kamikazi and Luna.

Paul grew up in Fort Plain, NY where he worked at Hawkins Auto Sales Inc from high school through college. He later purchased the dealership and sold it in 1996 prior to moving to Minnesota Beach.

Paul, with his wife’s help, built a 36 ft. Spray sailboat which they sailed from upstate NY to NC. They spent several winters cruising the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.

After working at several boatyards in Oriental Paul and Pamela relocated to Oriental in 2003 and established Hawkins Marine Services LLC.

Paul enjoyed servicing and repairing customers boats ensuring that they were cruise ready. He retired in 2017 so that he and Pamela could enjoy more time boating, fishing, archery and driving fast muscle cars. Paul’s family and close friends will be celebrating his life privately.
