The snow wasn’t such a rarity for Peter Hinman of Woods Hole, Massachusetts who tied up to the Town Dock Friday night. He says that wintry weather has followed him on his trip south.

A screened porch at South Avenue and Neuse Street was catching snow. No one was seen sitting on any porch Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, a block away on First Avenue, three single-trunked crape myrtles stood out in the snow.

At the harbor end of South Avenue, the old dock pilings were covered in snow. At the docks adjacent to the town’s water access, a man worked on a trawler..

Nol Engel who lives at the end of the Duck Pond, says he and his wife measured the snow on their deck table at 5-3/4 inches.
