John Rahm, member of the League and Colonel USMC (ret.), wrote in about their visit:

With Billy’s support, the Marines often use the Piglet to raise funds and as a venue to reach out to other Marines who might need assistance. The Piglet is also a hub for the Marine’s Toys for Tots campaign which is starting again next month. The detachment Commandant, Marty Musella, offered thanks and a plaque to Billy and the other store associates.

During their charitable campaigns, members of the Marine Corps League can be found at the Piggly Wiggly storefront with Marine Corps Roses, a raffle for a Henry Golden Boy .22 Magnum rifle, or promoting Toys for Tots.
